A little about me

I am currently working as Science Translation and Research Manager for Aurelia, where I lead innovation in new product development and preclinical research focused on premium nutrition and wellness across all life stages.

Prior to this role, I worked as Lead Researcher and, before that, as Senior Researcher where I was responsible for conducting and managing research activities aligned with product development goals.

In 2018, I was awarded the prestigious Irish Research Council Enterprise Partnership Scheme (IRC-EPS) Postdoctoral Fellowship at University College Cork (UCC). I earned my PhD in 2014 from the Department of Anatomy and Neuroscience at UCC. My academic background also includes a BSc in Experimental Biology and an MSc in Neuropsychobiology from the University of Cagliari, Italy.

My motivation

I am inspired by the way research can transform natural ingredients into products that genuinely support people's health and well-being. Knowing that what I do can help others feel better, live healthier, and care for themselves in meaningful ways is what keeps me motivated every day.

A day in the life

There’s really no such thing as a typical day at Aurelia – and that’s exactly what makes it exciting. Each day brings something new, whether it’s diving into the latest
scientific research, working on product content, or collaborating with the team to bring ideas to life. The variety keeps me inspired and constantly learning,
which is one of the things I value most about my work here.

Something I've learned

One of the most important things I’ve learned in my career is that
meaningful impact comes from combining knowledge with purpose and doing it as
part of a team. Collaboration, shared goals, and learning from others are what
truly bring ideas to life.

What could the future hold?

In the next 5 to 10 years, I see the health and wellness field becoming
even more personalised and data driven. As technology and research continue to
advance, we’ll have better tools to understand individual health needs and
create more effective, customised approaches to well-being.

Why Aurelia?

A key strength of Aurelia is that it combines the best natural ingredients with proven scientific research. This approach ensures our products are both effective and safe, while prioritising overall skin health and
well-being.

My favourite Aurelia product is...

The Miracle Cleanser

My skincare regime?

I never leave the house without applying a face moisturiser for sensitive skin with sun protection. I’m also committed to my evening skincare routine, always removing my makeup and hydrating my face and neck with a nourishing night cream.

A fun fact about me is...

I love getting kids excited about the power of nutrients! I enjoy experimenting with new healthy recipes with my kids and teaching them how food can fuel their bodies.
